UPDATE after almost two months of daily use: Sure enough, we have 5 cracked lids after one use, and 2 cracked bottoms. Both bend and crack too easily. It's a shame they couldn't have used a more sturdy, rigid plastic that matches what they claim about the durability of these containers. They are no more thick than a deli container and bend inward and outward and sideways like those, yet those don't crack quite as easily as these probably because of a softer plastic. While they claim these are dishwasher safe, the lids are not. The lids warp, then they don't stack flat and make a mess in my cabinets and they crack easily afterwards. Sellers of this product need to give a recommendation to the buyer to not place the lids in the dishwasher but to wash them by hand. State that only the bottoms are dishwasher safe. Buyers will then know what they are buying and be less disappointed.I'm not sure how repeated dishwasher washings will do on the lower portion of the containers, but so far they handle it well. Other brands with the black bottoms have clear lids that are a lot thicker and more heavy duty, and they come out of the dishwasher just like they went in retaining their shape and rigidness. They also don't crack without intentional, forceful attempts, something that we don't do when using them. They are "almost" a single use item that needs to be thrown out after use but the bottoms will last a bit longer until they crack - so maybe two to three uses? With some lasting a bit longer? Maybe that is why they are a subscribe and save item because they are always reordered. While they do state “Treat them as disposable containers with lids!”, for $19 a pop I want them to last past a single use. Single use items should not be this expensive. However, I do admit that they shouldn't be as cheap as disposal paper products since these are formed plastic, so that makes pricing them have a very narrow window.Advice after purchasing: I recommend you only wash the lids by hand from day one to get more life out of them, and you may be more satisfied with the purchase. Careful when you handle the bottoms and don’t place too much force on them when putting the lids on and pulling them off so that they don't crack right away. I think the temperature of a refrigerator makes them more brittle, sort of like the freezer does with Tupperware. Be aware that even a significant knock against them in a bag or too much weight on them or even the slightest pressure on your lunch box or bag will crack them too.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I wanted to love these but I was immediately disappointed upon opening the package. They were very flimsy, cheap plastic and I could tell right away that it wouldn't take long for the bases or the lids to crack, especially the lids. They are about the same thickness as a heavy duty dixie paper plate, or one of those plastic disposable plates. Thin and bendable, just more sturdy than paper under the weight of food. I give one container or lid maybe 2-3 uses before breaking or cracking, and that is a very generous estimate. I can't imagine that they won't become deformed after the heat of a dishwasher. Time will tell. If I had only paid $8 for this same product and quantity, then I could tolerate this quality since I would be expecting them to only last a single use or two or three" - like buying disposable "plastic" plates that also have a chance to reuse a few times if washed. These feel about the same thickness.Years ago I purchased a 50ct quantity of these kinds of containers in black with clear lids. They have lasted for over 12 years, and I am now down to my last two after sending home cookies and leftovers with my guests over the years, or due to my kids losing them. They were made of a very durable plastic thick enough that they would not bend with much ease at all, not even after all these years. They were even better than the sturdy black containers with firm plastic raised lids that restaurants send home leftovers in. I paid $15.99 for all of them!!! PrepNatural brand of containers are not of the same quality and bend quite easily with the smallest amount of effort, and are more expensive.Whether or not the PrepNatural containers will stain is yet to be seen, and I will certainly be returning to update this post with that observation once I know. I'll also be back to report on the leakproof aspect, microwave use, and dishwasher results.I would categorize these containers as the "kleenex" of plastic containers. They are exactly like the plastic paper plates and cups, and the cheaper plastic deli containers from the grocery stores, easy to bend in with a thumb, flexible thin lids, and very short lives. I am disappointed in the advertising and description of these, because it "had-me-at-hello" so to speak. They sounded exactly like the quality of containers I purchased years ago for a cheaper price, and I was excited to see them in clear. There is no indication anywhere just how thin this plastic is.At this price point, I would not waste your money at all and see if you can find a much sturdier option for the same or cheaper (as I presently am.) Read reviews for the others, and if anyone states that they are flimsy plastic, trust them! And go to the next product. I don't believe this product is made by Amazon at all, and it is not a reflection of their quality. But if there are no other selections on Amazon for these kinds of containers that are made with the same grade plastic as the ones I purchased years ago? Then buying elsewhere is the thing to do.I purchased at the same time as these the 29oz bowls in black by PrepNaturals, and they are just as flimsy as these clear ones. PrepNaturals does not have the quality they speak of yet. So disappointing.Good luck searching for the quality that belongs at this price point.I filled up my father's garage freezer with single-serving meals. These containers were PERFECT for this... I froze them flat, then stood them on end on the door shelves...I don't think they are quite leakproof, but I didn't need them to be. They were the only containers I could find that stacked so neatly and didn't waste an inch of space.I like the look in fridge with multiple stacks. Nice size for lunch, salad, soup or sandwich. Great for preparing ahead. I've run some through dishwasher several times, top shelf, heated water but not heated dry, with no problems yet. I don't think they seal well enough to hold liquid if they are tipped. I've packed items to carry to another home and nothing popped open in route.Love the size since I try to stick with 4 smaller portion meals. With my work hours, that means bringing 3 to work. Perfect size. Keeping the lids on doesn't always work. But, I work with it because the size works.Deli containers are very handy to have available when preparing foods and storing them. I do production cooking where I will fix 50 meals for the freezer in one day. Finding suitable containers has been quite a challenge.I only eat about 20 ounces of food at any given meal. Most of the time I don't eat that much so I really wish they would make smaller versions of this container.Round containers waste a lot of space in the freezer. While I want plenty of air around the containers, while they cool, once out of the refrigerator and in the freezer, I want the food as compactly stored as possible and round containers can't do that.I've tried a variety of rectangular, take-out containers but most leave a lot of room at the top which leads to freezer burn if the food is stored for very long. It also wastes freezer space. I haven't had a problem with that with these containers.Another problem with the round deli containers is that they are often tamper proof though they don't always advertise that. Taking the lids off can be a challenge for people with hand problems and lids or bases often get broken in the process. I have one set that I regularly have to break to open.I bought my set of these containers in October of 2020. I haven't lost a lid or base in that time--even after multiple uses. I am careful, however, to let containers sit for at least 10 minutes, before opening them after taking them out of the freezer. Most of the time I take them out of the freezer, the night before I plan to use their contents, and pop them in the fridge. The contents don't totally defrost and are much easier to work with then when frozen solid.I plan to buy more sets of these containers in the future. Unfortunately, I really need 8-and 16-ounce containers, which no one seems to make in a square or rectangular form, so I'm stuck with round containers for a lot of my meal prep and storage. But I'm sure someone will realize the need for other sizes, in a square or rectangular form and start making them in the near future.THESE PREP NATURAL CONTAINERS ARE GOOD STORAGE FOR YOUR LUNCH AND ANY SMALL PORTIONS IF YOU ARE ON A DIET AND MICROWAVE SAFE FRUIT AND SNACKS AND NOT BAD FOR THE PRICEQuede sorprendida con la calidad, el material es mucho más firme de lo que imaginaba y el tamaño es ideal par organizar las comidas. Pero se le puede dar otros usosThese are a great price for a pack of 50. They’re not very clear, not as clear as the pictures show, so you can’t exactly tell what’s inside. They’re pretty flimsy/lightweight so I’m not putting them in the dishwasher. The covers are slightly a hassle to get off, and I’m not entirely sure they are leakproof, so I’m not using them to bring food to work, but they are perfect for prepping food and storing it in the fridge. The size is perfect. They stack on top of each other really well.Pensé que era un tamaño más grande; pero después de usarlos se me hace bien el tamaño; los uso para guardar en el refrigerador la fruta y verdura ya picadas; siento que me dura por más tiempo. ; no se manchan; son de plástico ligero; estoy muy satisfecha.MásTiempo sobre todo la verdad que me han sido muy uPoor quality.Don't buy.
